Books are read, reviewed and rated against a scale of 0 to 5. The basis of this scale is as follows:

I abandoned the book after first 100 Pages. Failed the Monk’s 100-Page Test.
1
Waste of paper, I got duped by the nice cover.
2
Skip it, read the book if you have got nothing else better to do
2.5
An average book, easily forgettable.
3
A good entertaining read, page turner.
3.5
A good entertaining read, I would pester everyone to read it.
4
So glad that I read the book, a book with substance and invaluable for future reference.
4.5
So glad that I read the book, would pester everyone that I see to read it, invaluable, I would want to own it and wouldn’t mind a second read (something that I seldom do)
5
I love the book, the story is great, the author brilliant. It lingers on in my mind and keeps me thinking. I am affected, touched and changed.
(My thanks to Jovenus for allowing me to adopt this scale from her blog)
